Dear Respect Academy Families and Community,
Earlier today we had a secure perimeter process that was initiated by DPS Safety and Security. There was activity that had transpired near our school campus, but there was not an immediate threat or danger to our students and staff. We had our School Resource Officer in the school along with another DPD Officer as support. After 1 hour the secure perimeter was canceled and school function was returned to normal. Again, at no time was there any immediate danger. All staff responded in a timely manner.

Estimadas familias y comunidad de Respect Academy,
Hoy temprano tuvimos un proceso perimetral seguro que fue iniciado por DPS Safety and Security. Había actividad que había ocurrido cerca de nuestro campus escolar, pero no había una amenaza o peligro inmediato para nuestros estudiantes y personal. Teníamos a nuestro oficial de recursos escolares en la escuela junto con otro oficial de DPD como apoyo. Después de 1 hora, se canceló el perímetro de seguridad y la función escolar volvió a la normalidad. Una vez más, en ningún momento hubo ningún peligro inmediato. Todo el personal respondió de manera oportuna.
